About The Position

SymphonyAI Financial Services is hiring a Principal Solution Architect to lead architecture across multiple strategic client programs. The role shapes technical vision and establishes patterns and standards for delivery, solving complex architecture problems across cloud, data, integration, AI, financial crime, regulatory, and core banking environments. The architect advises client CIO and CTO teams and works closely with engagement leaders, Product, Engineering, and delivery teams. The role also defines how LLMs, RAG, vector retrieval, and other AI capabilities are introduced and governed in production. It provides senior leadership across the practice, influences strategic client outcomes, and supports the growth of other architects.

Requirements

  • 12 or more years of enterprise technology experience, including architecture leadership across strategic client programs.
  • Strong enterprise architecture skills across cloud, data, integration, AI platforms, and distributed systems.
  • Financial services experience in banking, financial crime, risk, regulatory reporting, or other regulated environments.
  • Experience leading architecture across multiple programs and establishing standards and governance used by delivery teams.
  • Modernization experience designing solutions across on-premise, hosted, hybrid, and SaaS environments.
  • Strong cloud and deployment knowledge across AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP, along with containers, Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
  • Integration and data platform experience with REST APIs, messaging, event-driven systems, Kafka, Spark, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or similar technologies.
  • Practical enterprise AI experience designing or leading production solutions using LLMs, RAG, vector retrieval, model endpoints, monitoring, or AI governance.
  • Ability to explain complex trade-offs clearly, advise senior client and internal leaders, and build alignment around decisions.
  • Ability to set architecture direction across programs while remaining engaged with delivery to resolve difficult technical challenges.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading enterprise AI architecture programs in financial services.
  • Experience with regulatory reporting or core banking systems.
  • Experience with data governance, master data management, or enterprise analytics platforms.
  • Experience with enterprise middleware and application servers such as JBoss, WebSphere, or WildFly.
  • TOGAF or a comparable enterprise architecture certification.
  • Experience setting architecture standards adopted across a professional services or architecture practice.

Responsibilities

  • Own architecture direction across multiple strategic client programs and make clear technical trade-offs within the role's mandate.
  • Define reference architectures, reusable integration patterns, and governance standards for use across client programs.
  • Design scalable solutions across cloud, data, integration, AI, financial crime, regulatory, and core banking environments.
  • Ensure solutions meet security, resilience, scalability, performance, observability, and maintainability requirements.
  • Define architecture patterns and production standards for LLMs, RAG, vector retrieval, model integration, monitoring, and governance.
  • Advise client CIO and CTO teams on modernization strategy, architecture decisions, risks, and priorities.
  • Support proposals, RFP responses, discovery sessions, architecture workshops, and technical sales discussions.
  • Share client and implementation insight with Product and Engineering to influence platform scalability, roadmap decisions, and technical strategy.
  • Develop IC3 and IC4 architects and strengthen architecture practices across the team.
