The SolarCorps Fellowship Program is an 11-month paid service term opportunity for highly motivated and enthusiastic community members to join GRID Alternatives. Fellows gain valuable experience in the renewable energy and non-profit industries while contributing to communities most impacted by environmental and economic injustice. GRID Alternatives is a national leader in making clean, affordable solar power and solar jobs accessible to low-income communities and communities of color. It is an entrepreneurial, high-growth non-profit organization that provides direct solar installation and project development; clean mobility options; workforce training and service learning opportunities; and low-income solar policy advocacy. This role specifically supports GRID’s workforce development initiatives by training and supervising members to provide employability skills and job opportunities in solar to the community. Members will support solar job training programs through recruitment, facilitating workshops, and providing placement support, gaining transferable skills in solar installation and program management.
