About The Position

The Software Technical Leader is a senior individual-contributor role responsible for the technical direction and delivery of Orbital endpoint security software. The role leads complex software and release-delivery work involving architecture, reliability, security, platform compatibility, and customer experience. The work spans backend services, endpoint installers, and a web console, primarily using Go, in a highly collaborative and distributed environment. The individual works independently and with cross-functional partners to investigate and resolve complex technical challenges, align priorities, and deliver customer-facing software. The role may require responding to urgent customer, security, or release needs. The position has no direct reports. It sets technical direction, raises engineering quality, and supports other engineers through technical guidance, thoughtful reviews, and mentoring. The team works closely with Product and Support to understand customer problems and assess whether solutions are effective. The role offers an opportunity to shape security software changes across cloud services and endpoint systems that can reach millions of customer endpoints, including improving endpoint-to-cloud communication reliability, evolving architecture safely, strengthening security and lifecycle practices, and delivering changes incrementally with monitoring.
