Software QA Engineer II Senior - (E2)
About The Position
Applied Materials is hiring a Software QA Engineer to test and debug moderately complex software products and help develop, apply, and maintain quality standards. The role performs software tests on code and enhancements, develops and executes test plans under general supervision, analyzes and documents test results, and works with development engineers to resolve problems. The position supports quality computer integration into scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing functions. It has no supervisory responsibilities, but provides informal guidance to new team members.
Responsibilities
- Debug moderately complex software products through systematic testing and help develop, apply, and maintain quality standards.
- Perform software tests on code and enhancements.
- Develop, modify, and execute software test plans under general supervision.
- Analyze and write test standards and procedures.
- Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modifying software.
- Analyze test results to verify existing functionality and recommend corrective action.
- Consult with development engineers to resolve problems.
- Provide feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software.
- Ensure quality computer integration into scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing functions.
- Provide informal guidance to new team members.
