About The Position

Cedar Gate Technologies, an IQVIA business, is seeking a Software QA Engineer 2 to lead quality efforts for assigned product areas. The role collaborates with QA, Product, Engineering, Client Success, and Implementation teams to improve quality throughout the delivery lifecycle and support reliable releases. As the primary QA contact for assigned products, the engineer aligns testing priorities across teams, coordinates release readiness, and promotes consistent QA standards. Hands-on testing is also performed as needed for high-priority releases, complex product scenarios, and client needs.

The role combines QA leadership and coordination with direct testing. It includes contributing to test automation and AI-enabled testing initiatives, and evaluating AI-assisted testing tools and validation approaches as product capabilities and QA practices evolve. The position is based in Greenwich, Connecticut, with a hybrid arrangement of three days in the office and two remote.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of software QA and testing experience, including cross-functional coordination.
• At least 1 year leading QA activities, initiatives, or projects.
• Experience collaborating with QA, Product, and Engineering teams throughout software development and release.
• Ability to balance QA leadership and coordination with direct testing as needed.
• Background in test planning, release readiness, defect management, and root cause analysis.
• Practical experience with QA automation and testing tools or approaches that use AI.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical reasoning skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for working across technical, business, and distributed teams.
• Adaptability to shifting priorities and ability to support adoption of new technologies, tools, and QA processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or substantial professional experience.
• Must reside in the same country where the job is located.

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare experience in payer, provider, or healthcare technology environments.

• Familiarity with enterprise QA governance, quality metrics, and scorecards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary QA partner for Product, Engineering, Client Success, Implementation, and Leadership across assigned product areas.
• Partner with Product and Engineering throughout roadmap, sprint, and release planning to align requirements, quality priorities, dependencies, risks, and delivery expectations.
• Provide leadership with regular visibility into QA performance, release status, quality trends, and key risks.
• Participate in enterprise QA governance and promote consistent adoption of QA standards and best practices.
• Partner with QA teams to align priorities, address quality blockers, and ensure testing remains on track for release.
• Review QA effort estimates, test plans, and testing strategies for appropriate coverage and alignment with release requirements.
• Conduct testability reviews of functional requirements before development begins.
• Assess release readiness and provide QA sign-off on established quality gates before production releases.
• Review QA metrics, root cause analyses, reliability findings, and release trends to identify systemic quality issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide hands-on testing support for high-priority releases, complex product scenarios, and client-specific needs.
• Participate in client discussions when QA expertise is needed to address product quality questions or testing gaps.
• Contribute to test automation and AI-enabled testing initiatives, focusing on adoption, effectiveness, and quality outcomes.
• Evaluate and support AI-assisted testing tools and validation approaches as product capabilities and QA practices evolve.
