About The Position

This position is a Hybrid Co-Op role at RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company. The Co-Op session will run from January to June and is intended for students to take time off from coursework to fully engage in a working mentorship opportunity. The role is based in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, and requires the student to be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of employment. Relocation is not offered. Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in software or computer engineering or computer sciences.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the information under this program/contract.
  • Must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in conducting engineering processes and standard work, including verification and qualification procedures.
  • Creates, compiles, and consolidates testing on diagnostic systems containing logical and mathematical solutions.
  • Assists in conducting disciplinary research on one or more stages of the equipment design phase to develop design options and recommendations.
  • Learns hardware and software standards and ensures work product adheres to these standards and business objectives of the organization are met.
  • Communicates in English (read, write, speak) when interacting with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English.
