About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with a strong background in cloud-native deployments and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, containerization, and cloud platforms. This role requires a proactive approach to system operations, including on-call support, and a commitment to automating processes, enhancing security, and improving overall software development lifecycle efficiency. You will be instrumental in designing, building, testing, and deploying software changes, managing containerized applications, and collaborating with infrastructure teams to streamline technical processes.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph (last polygraph must be within the last five (05) years).
  • Fourteen (14) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline (i.e. Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.) from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Four (04) years of additional relevant experience on projects with similar processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Requires software engineering experience who can support cloud-native deployments and DevOps-related activities.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with continuous integration frameworks such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency with major cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

Responsibilities

  • Support system operations on an on-call basis.
  • Design, build, test, and deploy changes to existing software.
  • Implement and maintain enhanced infrastructure security protocols.
  • Identify manual processes that can be automated.
  • Maintain and improve cloud infrastructure.
  • Automate code integration, testing, and deployment to deliver product features to production securely and efficiently.
  • Provision and manage environments using automation tools instead of manual server configurations.
  • Configure logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to proactively detect bottlenecks and resolve production issues.
  • Manage containerized applications to ensure seamless scaling across platforms.
  • Work directly with the infrastructure and platform team to remove workflow barriers and streamline technical processes.
  • Debug existing software and correct defects.
  • Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
