About The Position

We are seeking a Software Engineer to support cloud-native deployments and DevOps-related activities. This role involves designing, building, testing, and deploying changes to existing software, with a focus on enhanced infrastructure security protocols and automation of manual processes. The engineer will be responsible for maintaining and improving cloud infrastructure, automating code integration, testing, and deployment, and provisioning and managing environments using automation tools. Additionally, the role includes configuring logging, monitoring, and alerting systems, managing containerized applications, and collaborating with the infrastructure and platform team to streamline technical processes. Debugging existing software, correcting defects, and providing recommendations for documentation and process improvements are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph (last polygraph must be within the last five (05) years)
  • Candidate would be expected to be “On call” to support system operations.
  • Must have fourteen (14) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline (i.e. Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.) from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Four (04) years of additional relevant experience on projects with similar processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Requires software engineering experience who can support cloud-native deployments and DevOps-related activities.
  • Experience in designing, building, testing and deploying changes to existing software

  • Experience in maintaining and improving cloud infrastructure

Nice To Haves

  • CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with continuous integration frameworks such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
  • Infrastructure Tools: Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Container Platforms: Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Cloud Experience: Proficiency with major cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)

Responsibilities

  • Automate code integration, testing, and deployment to deliver product features to production securely and efficiently.
  • Provision and manage environments using automation tools instead of manual server configurations.
  • Configure logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to proactively detect bottlenecks and resolve production issues.
  • Manage containerized applications to ensure seamless scaling across platforms.
  • Work directly with the infrastructure and platform team to remove workflow barriers and streamline technical processes.
  • Debug existing software and correct defects.
  • Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
