About The Position

The Software Engineer (SWE) Skill Level 2 shall be responsible for implementing access controls and permission mechanisms for securing access to critical HPC system resources through robust permission management, ensuring compliance with the Agency’s security policies and industry standards. Requirements

  • Security Clearance with Polygraph is required
  • Experience using the Linux CLI
  • Proficiency in scripting (Bash/Python) to automate tasks and processes
  • Basic Linux systems administration including User and Group Management
  • Experience implementing Access Controls and permissions including RBAC and HBAC in a Linux environment
  • Experience developing software solutions using the Python programming languages
  • Familiar with IAM solutions such as KeyCloak, FreeIPA, SSSD, LDAP, Kerberos
  • Experience developing Ansible playbooks to orchestrate the automation of provisioning HPC hardware and software components
  • Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI and Jenkins
  • Experience with Git Source Control System

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, PodMan, containerd
  • Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies
