About The Position

AEITS, a GTSC company, seeks a Software Engineer Level 0. This position is pending contract award. All work is on-site, in-person in a SCIF environment. This is not a hybrid or remote position. The role involves designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining complex software solutions supporting mission-critical systems, large-scale data processing, advanced analytics, and enterprise applications. Responsibilities include analyzing user and system requirements, designing software solutions, developing and maintaining software applications and services, debugging and troubleshooting, integrating software, developing and optimizing database interfaces, creating technical documentation, participating in Agile development, collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting software quality assurance, and contributing to continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • No prior professional software engineering experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Top Secret SCI with appropriate polygraph clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain complex software solutions supporting mission-critical systems, large-scale data processing, advanced analytics, and enterprise applications.
  • Analyze user and system requirements to develop software design solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
  • Integrate software into new and existing systems and operating environments.
  • Develop and optimize database interfaces, queries, and data repositories.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and design artifacts.
  • Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver mission-focused solutions.
  • Support software quality assurance, configuration management, and release activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices.
