About The Position
This position is pending contract award. The Software Engineer Level 0 will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain complex software solutions supporting mission-critical systems, large-scale data processing, advanced analytics, and enterprise applications. The role involves analyzing user and system requirements, designing and developing software applications and services, debugging and troubleshooting issues, integrating software, and optimizing database interfaces. The engineer will also create technical documentation, participate in Agile development, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support quality assurance and release activities. Continuous improvement and engineering best practices are also key aspects of this role.
Requirements
- No prior professional software engineering experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
- 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Top Secret SCI with appropriate polygraph clearance.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain complex software solutions supporting mission-critical systems, large-scale data processing, advanced analytics, and enterprise applications.
- Analyze user and system requirements to develop software design solutions.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Integrate software into new and existing systems and operating environments.
- Develop and optimize database interfaces, queries, and data repositories.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and design artifacts.
- Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, development, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver mission-focused solutions.
- Support software quality assurance, configuration management, and release activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices.
