About The Position

As a Software Engineer in Motorola Solutions’ Command Center Solutions Services engineering group, you will design, develop, and optimize enablement applications for deployment engineering resources using AI models and algorithms. The role focuses on implementing AI models in high-performance modern code and translating AI/ML models into efficient implementations. It requires knowledge of modern development languages, strong software engineering principles, and experience with large language models.

The Enablement team develops and maintains AI-enabled customer enablement workflows, governance systems for AI-based systems, and data tools and infrastructure for data acquisition, annotation, pipelines, and AI. The work supports the organization’s deployment operations and mission-critical customer needs. The position includes 25–50% travel. The target base salary range is $95,000–$105,000 USD.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
• 2–5 years of software development experience, with an emphasis on performance optimization.
• High school diploma and bachelor's degree, plus 2–5 years of software development experience, as stated in the basic requirements.
• Legal authorization to work indefinitely in the United States; employer work permit sponsorship is not available.
• Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript for scripting and tooling.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including design patterns, testing methodologies, and version control such as Git.
• Experience with Linux or embedded Linux development environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience implementing and deploying AI models.
• Experience with standards compliance, including security or data governance, and requirements traceability.
• Experience with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with dataflow automation tools such as n8n.
• Master's degree.
