Software Engineer, Prediction Markets Platform

Crypto.com•New York, NY
•Hybrid

About The Position

The Software Engineer will help build the platform that lists and settles event contracts on Crypto.com’s CFTC-regulated exchange, covering sports, crypto, and other real-world events. The platform ingests data from sports and market providers, converts events into tradeable contracts, and settles them after events conclude. Since settlement moves real money, correctness and auditability are important alongside speed. The team is moving the platform from Python and Airflow to Go services built around Postgres. The role involves building and operating Go backend services for listing and settling event contracts, migrating existing workflows to Go and durable job processing, developing data-provider integrations, and implementing settlement rules and edge cases. The engineer will contribute to design documents and code reviews, own features through production, build React/TypeScript operator tools, and participate in on-call and production debugging.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years building production backend services.
  • Proficiency in Go, or strong experience in another backend language and a clear willingness to work primarily in Go.

  • Understanding of concurrency, idempotency, and failure handling in distributed systems.
  • A record of shipping and running services independently.
