This position can be filled as a Software Engineer or Senior Software Engineer based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. Our ideal candidate will have experience with modern web and enterprise technologies, cloud services, & microservices architectures. This role offers opportunities to work with cutting-edge digital transformation initiatives across our insurance business lines. For this position, Sentry does not offer employment to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas.

Requirements

Associate Degree in Computer Science or related discipline; or equivalent related work experience.
Minimum of 2 years related work experience.
Demonstrated aptitude in one or more programming languages and software development concepts.
Ability to critically evaluate multiple options to solve complex problems.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Values continuous learning and personal development.
Enjoys working in a team focused and collaborative environment.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor Degree preferred.
5 or more years of related work experience preferred.
Experience with Guidewire, Java and Vue preferred.

Responsibilities

Engage in the design, development, and implementation of new and existing programs or solutions.
Demonstrate ownership over the quality of assigned tasks, preparing test scripts and conducting tests on both new and existing solutions.
Engage in team delivery functions such as design reviews, code reviews, and scrum meetings.
