Models aircraft survivability equipment and threat-scenario behavior for rotary-wing training simulation, including chaff and flares, warning receivers, threat cues, defensive responses, countermeasure logic, and threat scenarios. Models aircraft-system behavior such as functional behavior, cautions and warnings, fault injection, failure propagation, and degraded modes. Contributes to engineering definition of system behavior, requirements, architecture, interfaces, and traceability. Uses Cameo and SysML for requirements decomposition, use-case modeling, architecture development, interface definition, and traceability. Applies model-based systems engineering to describe interactions among aircraft, survivability, and scenario functions, connecting simulation behavior to operational and training needs. Works across engineering disciplines and with domain specialists to define simulation behavior, providing software and test engineers a technical basis for implementation and evaluation. Supports next-generation rotary-wing training capabilities, including CH-53K and MH-60R/CG use cases. This is an 11-month contract with potential for extension, located in Orlando, Florida, with a hybrid work arrangement. The listed pay rate is $100 per hour.
