About The Position

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Level 3 Software Engineer for the Next Gen GEO program's Command and Control software team. This role supports the transition of the product from development to operations, providing on-demand support. The position is for an EARLY-MID CAREER individual, typically requiring 3+ years of professional experience and a BS degree. Requirements

  • Active Top Secret Clearance
  • Experience in software design and development
  • 3+ years of C++/C programming experience in a professional environment
  • Linux OS background/Experience developing in a Linux environment
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated understanding of agile development within a scrum team.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, and test the command and control ground software codebase.
  • Coordinate with the HW/NW/SA teams when troubleshooting issues.
  • Work off defects and support modifications to the codebase.
  • Attend reviews and RCA's, representing the software team.
