Level 3 Software Engineer
About The Position
Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Level 3 Software Engineer to join the Ground Software team supporting the FORGE C2 program. This role involves translating a legacy product into a modern solution within a small, agile team in Longmont, CO. The engineer will be responsible for taking the product from a designed solution to a delivered product, working through technical challenges to implement legacy capabilities in a modern architecture. This is an early-mid career role requiring approximately 3+ years of professional experience and a BS degree, offering opportunities for impact, professional development, and collaboration.
Requirements
- An active Secret clearance is required for consideration.
- Experience in software design and development.
- 3+ years of Java, C++, or C# programming experience in a professional environment.
- Linux OS background/Experience developing in a Linux environment.
- Must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Nice To Haves
- Demonstrated understanding of agile development within a scrum team.
- Strong mathematics background.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and test the codebase.
- Interact across agile teams to ensure interface compatibility.
- Coordinate with the product owner, scrum master, and product manager to plan user stories and ensure successful completion of the tasks.
- Work through technical challenges to implement legacy capabilities in a modern architecture.
