About The Position

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Level 4 Software Engineer to support the FORGE C2 program. This role involves translating a legacy product into a modern solution within a small, agile team. The engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and testing the codebase, interacting with other agile teams for interface compatibility, and coordinating with product owners and scrum masters for task planning and completion. A key aspect of this role is leading the resolution of technical challenges to implement legacy capabilities within a modern architecture. This is a mid-senior career role (level 4) requiring typically 5+ years of professional experience and a BS degree.

Requirements

  • An active Secret clearance is required for consideration
  • Experience in software design and development
  • 5+ years of Java, C++, or C# programming experience in a professional environment
  • Linux OS background/Experience developing in a Linux environment
  • US Citizen for consideration

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated understanding of agile development within a scrum team.
  • Strong mathematics background.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and test the codebase.
  • Interact across agile teams to ensure interface compatibility.
  • Coordinate with the product owner, scrum master, and product manager to plan user stories and ensure successful completion of the tasks.
