About The Position

As a software engineer for the Space, Embedded, and Intelligence business area, you’ll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for designing and developing Crypto and Cross Domain Solutions. This role involves applying software engineering concepts, principles, theories, and agile methodology to develop practical solutions for national security. The work is research-oriented and performed alongside award-winning teams.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or Engineering, Science, or Math, plus 1 year of relevant experience; or Master's degree.
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
U.S. citizenship is required.
Clear understanding of the software engineering concepts, principles, theories, software development process, and agile methodology.
Clear understanding of the software development process, with agile experience.
Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity.

Nice To Haves

Linux application development experience
Experience with SELinux
Experience with Embedded Linux.
VxWorks, RTOS, CDS, ESXi, or YOCTOL
Experience with Git and GitLab
Proficient in C/C++, C#, Java, Python, or Rust
Experience with BASH, sed, awk
XML Processing (XPath, XSD Schemas etc) (Alpha only)
Object oriented programming, especially in Java, especially in Java EE
JavaScript, especially with React
SQL, especially with PostgreSQL
