Utilizing your expert knowledge and understanding of test engineering concepts and principles, you’ll prepare test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures and equipment, and complete specifications and procedures throughout the engineering development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Test planning, test-case design, test-procedure development, execution, and test-report generation.
  • Traceability between system requirements, test cases, test procedures, test data, and verification evidence.
  • Python scripting for test automation, data collection, analysis, and regression testing.
  • Networking: TCP/IP, MPLS, VPNs, ESP/IPsec, routing, forwarding, network testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Basic familiarity with Cross Domain Solutions and red-to-black / black-to-red networking concepts.
  • Experience building, configuring, documenting, and managing network test environments, racks, and cabinets.
  • Packet capture and protocol-analysis experience, including Wireshark and tshark.
  • GitLab and VS Code for scripting, collaboration, and source control.
  • Microsoft Office products for test cases, procedures, reports, and presentations.
  • Strong collaboration skills across diverse technical disciplines and personalities.

Nice To Haves

  • Security Clearance Secret or TS/SCI
  • Network-device routing and forwarding test experience.
  • Network test and traffic-generation experience, including Xena and test-data development.
  • Hardware-payload integration through TRL 7 space-environmental qualification testing.
  • Environmental qualification planning and execution, including thermal vacuum, vibration, shock, and EMI/EMC testing as applicable.
  • Experience designing, building, or maintaining specialty SIT hardware, such as I/O drawers.
  • Experience scheduling and executing testing in environmental laboratories.
  • Cybersecurity verification experience, including vulnerability scanning, STIG validation, and RMF evidence development.
  • CI/CD-driven automated regression test experience.
  • PTP and time-synchronization test experience.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in or lead test planning and mapping of test cases and test suites to system requirements.
  • Participate in or lead scheduling of test events and reservation of environmental-laboratory time.
  • Participate in or lead identification, tracking, and reservation of test resources needed to execute test procedures.
  • Participate in or lead authoring, dry-running, executing, maintaining, and improving test procedures.
  • Participate in or lead development and maintenance of automated regression test scripts.
  • Participate in or lead manual and automated analysis of test data.
  • Participate in or lead authoring of test reports and presentation of test results.
  • Participate in or lead construction, configuration, verification, maintenance, and documentation of test environments, networks, test hardware, and laboratory hardware.
  • Participate in or lead laboratory management, including equipment inventory, resource scheduling, maintenance status, calibration status, and laboratory readiness.
  • Participate in or lead configuration management of SIT test hardware and laboratory hardware, including hardware configuration, software and firmware baselines, network configurations, instruments, test tools, and test data required to reproduce results.
  • Participate in or lead test-readiness activities, including test readiness reviews, test-entry and test-exit criteria, safety, and equipment readiness.
  • Participate in or lead discrepancy and anomaly management, including capture, triage, reproduction, documentation, retest, and closure with engineering.
  • Participate in or lead collaboration with SE, software, firmware, hardware, and specialty engineering to confirm test-case coverage, requirement verification, and compliance.
  • Participate in or lead creation of specialty SIT hardware, such as an I/O drawer.
