Software Engineer, Reliability Platform

DoorDash USA•Sunnyvale, CA
•$130,600 - $192,000

About The Position

The Software Engineer will design, build, and operate software and infrastructure for DoorDash’s Reliability Platform team, collaborating with peers across Infrastructure and Product. The role focuses on mission-critical back-end services and pipelines, complex orchestration workflows, self-service platform capabilities, and agentic intelligence. The team helps engineering groups across DoorDash-owned brands manage service reliability without requiring them to become reliability experts. Its systems support defining and measuring service level objectives (SLOs), investigating issues, and managing incidents from declaration through root-cause analysis and postmortems. The Reliability Platform team is working to unify incident management tooling globally, measure SLO compliance and quality across tens of thousands of endpoints, develop an internal SRE Agent, and enable agentic access to Reliability Platform data and tools. The engineer will contribute to strategic improvements, learn from internal customers, maintain a high quality bar while shipping rapidly, automate toil, and experiment with AI-assisted operations that can propose, validate, and safely execute production changes. This is a platform development role, not an SRE/on-call role.
