About The Position

STR’s Analytics and C2 Division develops advanced analytics technologies for national security challenges. Within the division, the Signals Exploitation and Tracking (SET) Group applies machine learning, statistics, estimation theory, and information theory to signals exploitation, target tracking, predictive analytics, and system resource management.

The Software Engineer will develop technologies focused on estimation theory, prediction, and system resource management; design and implement flexible software solutions; and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to address important customer problems. The position is based primarily onsite at STR’s Woburn, Massachusetts office. The role requires an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility; U.S. citizenship is needed for the required government eligibility.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility; U.S. citizenship is required for the relevant government eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree plus two years of experience, a master’s degree, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency writing maintainable, well-documented code and APIs.
• Ability to work and collaborate on multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience using Linux.
• Expertise with C++, Python, and Java.
• Experience with container-based software, such as Docker or Kubernetes.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in intelligence or military-related mission areas.
• Experience with microservice architecture and DevOps pipelines.
