About The Position

Verkada is hiring a Software Engineer focused on computer vision to develop and deploy machine learning capabilities for its AI-powered physical security platform. The role involves building systems that detect and track people and objects across hundreds of cameras, prototyping new features, and integrating those features into the product. The engineer will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software. The position requires working onsite five days per week.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
One year of professional experience in computer vision and machine learning.
Knowledge of Python.
Knowledge of data structures.
Knowledge of programming languages.
Knowledge of TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Caffe, or similar.
Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week.
Must be independently authorized to work in the U.S.; Verkada cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this role at this time.

Responsibilities

Implement and deploy machine learning models for detecting people and objects across hundreds of cameras.
Develop algorithms for detecting and tracking people and objects in a scene.
Prototype new features and work with the team to integrate them into the product.
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software.
