About The Position

The Computer Vision Software Engineer will develop computer vision software for lithography and metrology on semiconductor manufacturing equipment. The work includes modeling optical systems, developing nanometer-scale alignment methods such as fiducials and calibration, and iterating on real hardware. The engineer will also develop vision systems for wafer-handling and process-automation equipment and work on post-lithography metrology, including defect detection and optical proximity correction (OPC) modeling. The role involves close collaboration with full-stack, mechanical, electrical, optical, and process engineers on cross-functional problems. fab2 is open to candidates from early-career through experienced levels; a strong mathematical and programming background and the ability to experiment and learn are emphasized. The tool software group builds Linux control software and microcontroller firmware for fab2’s in-house semiconductor manufacturing equipment, including sensing, real-time firmware, closed-loop controls, sequencing, recipe execution, interlocks, operator interfaces, and diagnostics.
