Software Engineer, Internship - Sovereign AI Systems

Palantir Technologies•New York, NY

About The Position

Palantir is hiring a Software Engineer Intern for Sovereign AI Infrastructure. The intern will help build systems that make AI agents useful, reliable, and governable in high-stakes operational environments. This is a hands-on engineering internship, not a research-only role. The intern will own a project with mentorship from experienced engineers and contribute to production AI systems, potentially working on agentic workflows or supporting layers such as customer ontologies, context assembly, tool interfaces, agent identity and permissions, evaluations, and workflows that turn model outputs into operational decisions. The role involves building and improving AI deployment, operations, evaluation, and monitoring systems in customer-controlled environments. The intern will collaborate with engineers, product teams, and customer-facing teams to understand operational needs and develop durable software. Palantir values strong coding fundamentals, curiosity about production AI systems, clear communication, ownership, and attention to correctness, reliability, and customer trust. The internship requires the ability to work full-time for its duration. The estimated salary is $10,500 per month. Palantir encourages in-office work, while some teams offer hybrid options; exceptional remote arrangements may be available for some roles. This posting does not specify the work arrangement for this position.
