About The Position

This position is responsible for supporting many of Wellmark's member, employer, and provider-facing digital applications. The role involves collaborating with Technology and business stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve production support issues, active participation in team ceremonies for work breakdown, estimation, and continuous improvement, full stack development opportunities for new features, contributing to creating inclusive, accessible, and user-friendly websites by applying WCAG best practices, and developing business knowledge of the application necessary to effectively provide support maintenance. This internship will start in May of 2027, working a hybrid schedule from our headquarters in Des Moines.

Requirements

• Current junior or senior student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field
• Knowledge of software development technologies (NodeJS, Angular, .NET, MongoDB, SQL)
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills
• Accuracy and high attention to detail and self-starter
• Ability to troubleshoot and develop creative technical solutions
• Demonstrated computer skills with Microsoft Office products (Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel)
• Excellent writing and communication skills
