About The Position

This internship is within Wellmark's Technology Division, focusing on Application Development. The role supports Wellmark's member, employer, and provider-facing digital applications. The technology team's goal is to drive innovative transformation, modernize technology, and deliver new business strategies to enhance the customer experience.

Requirements

• Current junior or senior student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field
• Knowledge of software development technologies (NodeJS, Angular, .NET, MongoDB, SQL)
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills
• Accuracy and high attention to detail
• Self-starter
• Ability to troubleshoot and develop creative technical solutions
• Demonstrated computer skills with Microsoft Office products (Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel)
• Excellent writing and communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Prior work experience in an office environment or internship

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Technology and business stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve production support issues
• Active participation in team ceremonies for work breakdown, estimation, sequencing, and continuous improvement
• Full stack development opportunities for new features
• Contribute to creating inclusive, accessible, and user-friendly websites by applying WCAG best practices
• Develop business knowledge of the application necessary to effectively provide support maintenance
