About The Position

The Software Engineer III will participate in the discovery phase of projects, partnering with product management, project management, business, and user experience teams to create high-level designs. This role involves troubleshooting business and production issues, performing root cause analysis, developing solutions, and creating action plans. The engineer will manage complex projects by translating requirements into technical solutions, researching alternatives, and ensuring value to the business. They will also provide support to the business by responding to user questions and concerns, researching solutions, and guiding users to appropriate contacts. Additionally, the role includes assisting in guiding small groups of engineers, including offshore associates, by providing documentation, directions, and examples. The engineer will understand and analyze requirements, prepare requirement traceability matrices, and contribute to user story creation. In terms of coding, they will create and configure code, ensuring components meet business and technical requirements, non-functional requirements, and scalability needs. They will assist in selecting appropriate languages, standards, and tools, and take initiative to learn new coding languages and frameworks. Building automation scripts for CI/CD and testing processes, implementing telemetry features, and ensuring security policy requirements are applied are also key responsibilities. For testing, the engineer will map customer requirements to test objectives, create and execute test cases, and perform various types of testing using appropriate tools.

Requirements

  • Developed Java application using microservices architecture, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, and Spring Cloud as backend tools and Angular and React as frontend tools.
  • CI/CD pipeline development using Maven, Gradle, Git, Jenkins, and automated build and deployment practices.
  • Containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes in cloud environments.
  • Deploying and maintaining Cloud applications across AWS, Azure, and enterprise cloud platforms.
  • API design, development, and testing using RESTful and GraphQL APIs, including endpoint validation and integration testing.
  • Performing automated testing and quality assurance using functional and integration testing frameworks such as Selenium and Cucumber.
  • Frontend application development using JavaScript frameworks, state management libraries, and build tools.
  • Monitoring, logging, and observability using centralized dashboards, alerts, and log analysis tools using OpenObserve, Splunk and Grafana.
  • Implementing Relational and NoSQL database, Elasticsearch design, development, integration, data modeling, and data consistency management across distributed applications.
  • Building and deploying agentic AI solutions using LLMs and OpenAI Agents SDK and specializing in multi-agent orchestration using Python with Hugging Face, Ollama, and event-driven APIs.
  • Designing and orchestrating scalable data integration and transformation pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the discovery phase of small to medium-sized projects to come up with high level design by partnering with the product management, project management, business, and user experience teams.
  • Troubleshoots business and production issues by gathering information, performing root cause analysis, engaging support teams, developing solutions, and driving the development of an action plan.
  • Manages small to large-sized complex projects by reviewing project requirements, translating requirements into technical solutions, researching and identifying alternative solutions, and ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs.
  • Provides support to the business by responding to user questions, concerns, and issues, researching and identifying needed solutions, and determining implementation designs.
  • Assists in providing guidance to small groups of two to three engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects.
  • Understands the Business/Stakeholder/Technical requirements and assists in analyzing existing solutions to address the needs.
  • Prepares requirement traceability matrix and maintains traceability between business requirements, functional requirements, design and test cases.
  • Contributes to the creation of user stories for component/module/simple requirements.
  • Creates/configures minimalistic code for entire component/application and ensures the components are meeting business/technical requirements, non-functional requirements, low-maintainability, high-availability and high-scalability needs.
  • Assists in the selection of appropriate languages, development standards and tools for software coding/configuration.
  • Takes initiative to learn the fundamentals of different coding languages and frameworks that would be useful for future scope of work.
  • Builds scripts for automation of repetitive and routine tasks in CI/CD, Testing or any other process.
  • Implements telemetry features as required independently.
  • Ensures security policy requirements are properly applied to components/application during code development/configuration.
  • Maps the customer requirements in to test objectives.
  • Identifies and creates test cases for the component/module.
  • Executes test cases to test the code and detect errors and defects for the entire component.
  • Executes different types of testing using appropriate testing tools based on the testing needs.
