The Software Engineer III will participate in the discovery phase of projects, partnering with product management, project management, business, and user experience teams to create high-level designs. This role involves troubleshooting business and production issues, performing root cause analysis, developing solutions, and creating action plans. The engineer will manage complex projects by translating requirements into technical solutions, researching alternatives, and ensuring value to the business. They will also provide support to the business by responding to user questions and concerns, researching solutions, and guiding users to appropriate contacts. Additionally, the role includes assisting in guiding small groups of engineers, including offshore associates, by providing documentation, directions, and examples. The engineer will understand and analyze requirements, prepare requirement traceability matrices, and contribute to user story creation. In terms of coding, they will create and configure code, ensuring components meet business and technical requirements, non-functional requirements, and scalability needs. They will assist in selecting appropriate languages, standards, and tools, and take initiative to learn new coding languages and frameworks. Building automation scripts for CI/CD and testing processes, implementing telemetry features, and ensuring security policy requirements are applied are also key responsibilities. For testing, the engineer will map customer requirements to test objectives, create and execute test cases, and perform various types of testing using appropriate tools.
