About The Position

We are seeking a strong and hands-on Software Engineer to design, build, and scale modern enterprise applications and backend platforms. This role is ideal for an engineer with strong Java development experience, deep understanding of distributed systems, and interest or experience in Generative AI technologies. You will work closely with Product, Program, Architecture, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable, reliable, secure, and high-performing solutions that solve complex business problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, system design, and object-oriented programming.
  • Experience with SQL / NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, unit testing, and Agile development practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Option 2: 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building or integrating Generative AI solutions using LLMs.
  • Knowledge of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, prompt engineering, and AI orchestration frameworks.
  • Experience with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Google Vertex AI, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Interest in applying AI to improve customer experience, productivity, or automation use cases.
  • Experience with Kafka or event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or OpenTelemetry.
  • Experience in eCommerce, logistics, supply chain, or customer-facing platforms.
  • Strong ownership mindset.
  • Ability to independently drive projects end to end.

  • Curiosity to learn emerging technologies including AI.
  • Strong team player who collaborates across functions.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area.
  • Knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices architecture.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions with strong focus on performance, maintainability, and reliability.
  • Build reusable services, frameworks, and components that support multiple business use cases.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, technical design sessions, and solution planning.
  • Write clean, efficient, secure, and production-quality code following engineering best practices.
  • Perform code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
  • Improve system performance, scalability, observability, and operational readiness.
  • Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines and release automation processes.
  • Collaborate effectively with product managers, UX teams, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, standups, and retrospectives.
