Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.

Requirements

  • Ability to work both independently and within a high functioning team environment
  • Ansible Automation Platform
  • Expert level Unix/Linux admin and scripting (exp. 10+ years) – yaml, xml, python, perl, shell
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - able to present to audiences including senior management
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work with multiple groups to gather business requirements for product evidence and license compliance.
  • Strong analytical, multitasking and prioritization skills
  • Proficiency in working in a fast-paced, complex, dynamic, business environment
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence individuals in all regions of the organization
  • Ability to understand complex application infrastructure and model for license compliance reporting
  • Ability to be a strong team player with commitment to overall organization goals

Nice To Haves

  • NSH scripting and BLCLI (minimum 3 years)
  • Postgres or similar database experience
  • Experience with BMC TSO, Bladelogic, SQL, Database Admin, Systems Administration
  • Experience with Infrastructure Asset Analysis
  • Prior experience at Bank of America would be a significant plus
  • Experience with Windows admin and scripting a plus
  • Experience with Service Now, Remedy, and Puppet a plus

Responsibilities

  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
  • Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
  • Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
  • Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
  • Automates manual release activities
  • Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
  • Participates in design, development and implementation of systems engineering activities, to include OS technical support, systems programming and data center capabilities.
  • Develop controls for automation platforms with focus on shared content (catalog) across Enterprise tools
  • Implement SDLC chain for managing automation content
  • Responsible for components of complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities.
  • Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; provides tech knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor.
  • Will not have direct reports but will influence and/or direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations.
  • Provides input on staffing, budget, and personnel.
  • Incorporates multiple AI channels into standard practice to foster productivity, consistency, and quality woven throughout independent deliverables and across our technology community of practice
