The Software Engineer III will coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. This role involves supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifying and communicating goals and objectives, and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities. The engineer will demonstrate adaptability and promote continuous learning. Key responsibilities include requirement and scoping analysis, preparing traceability matrices, contributing to user stories, reviewing coding standards, and creating minimalistic code for components and applications to meet business and technical requirements, including non-functional requirements for maintainability, availability, and scalability. The role also involves assisting in the selection of appropriate languages and tools, building automation scripts for CI/CD, testing, and other processes. Testing responsibilities include test case preparation, execution, and defect management, including root cause analysis and troubleshooting performance and availability bottlenecks. A DevOps orientation is expected, leveraging various operating systems, maintenance tools, monitoring and debugging tools, and understanding system performance, security, integration, and data migration. The engineer will conduct complex maintenance procedures independently, monitor application performance, evaluate change requests, and review program metrics to ensure adherence to project milestones and timelines.
