About The Position

The Software Engineer III plays a critical role in designing, developing, and delivering scalable software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams including product management and user experience. This position involves troubleshooting complex issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing effective resolutions to enhance system performance. The role requires managing projects from requirements gathering through coding, testing, and deployment while ensuring adherence to quality and security standards. The engineer also supports continuous improvement initiatives and mentors junior team members to drive technical excellence and timely delivery of business value. The team focuses on Price Execution and Labelling, a critical function within Store Operations. It leads the development and implementation of next-generation Price Execution and Digital Shelf Label solutions. Team members gain practical experience applying modern technologies to solve complex challenges efficiently and enable dynamic scaling. The group emphasizes delivery-focused product strategy, platform design, API development, and continuous improvement through iterative development and testing. This environment supports technical growth in areas such as generative artificial intelligence, object-oriented programming, and automated debugging, fostering innovation aligned with business needs and operational excellence. Requirements

  • Proven experience in software design, development, and delivery using object-oriented programming and iterative development methodologies.
  • Strong technical acumen with expertise in API design, platform development, and component services.
  • Proficiency in debugging, testing, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
  • Ability to analyze requirements, perform root cause analysis, and develop sustainable technical solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing complex projects to ensure timely delivery.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies including generative artificial intelligence and telemetry implementation.
  • Skilled in documentation-based coding and maintaining code quality aligned with security standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define high-level design and technical solutions for projects.
  • Develop, test, and maintain code ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production and business issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Manage project tasks including requirement analysis, solution research, and timely delivery of software components.
  • Provide guidance and support to small engineering teams, including offshore associates.
  • Implement automation scripts and telemetry features to enhance continuous integration and delivery processes.
  • Monitor application performance and conduct maintenance activities to ensure stability and scalability.
