About The Position

The Software Engineer III will contribute to the design and development of software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams including product management and user experience. This role involves troubleshooting production issues, performing root cause analysis, and delivering sustainable, high-quality code. The engineer will manage complex projects, ensure timely delivery, and support continuous integration and deployment processes. Additionally, the position includes mentoring small engineering groups and providing technical guidance. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical acumen, and a commitment to maintaining security and quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle. Our team develops and maintains the Store Fulfillment Platform, a vital system that enables efficient order fulfillment across thousands of stores through automation and associate support. Requirements

  • Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and software design with proficiency in languages such as Java.
  • Strong experience in API design, platform development, and component services within iterative and incremental development frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex production issues through root cause analysis and effective problem resolution.
  • Skilled in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes, including automation scripting and telemetry implementation.
  • Ability to manage, deliver scoped features or models on time while ensuring high availability, scalability, and compliance.
  • Experience mentoring small engineering teams and collaborating cross-functionally to align solutions with business objectives.
  • Solid understanding of testing methodologies, defect management, and quality practices to ensure robust software.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define high-level designs and translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Develop, test, and maintain code adhering to coding standards and security policies across multiple platforms and languages.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production and business issues through root cause analysis and coordinated action plans.
  • Lead small engineering groups by providing guidance, documentation, and timelines to ensure project success.
  • Implement automation scripts to support continuous integration and delivery processes.
  • Monitor application performance and conduct maintenance to ensure reliability and scalability.
  • Contribute to requirement analysis, test case creation, and defect management to uphold quality standards.
