About The Position

This role involves coordinating and completing job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifying and communicating goals and objectives, building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results, identifying and addressing improvement opportunities, and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. The position requires understanding business, stakeholder, and technical requirements, analyzing existing solutions, and preparing requirement traceability matrices. Responsibilities include contributing to user story creation, coding minimalistic and scalable components, assisting in the selection of development tools and standards, learning new coding languages, building automation scripts for CI/CD and testing, implementing telemetry features, and ensuring security policy adherence. The role also involves mapping customer requirements to test objectives, creating and executing test cases, performing various types of testing, tracking and analyzing defects, troubleshooting performance and availability issues, conducting complex maintenance procedures, monitoring application performance, evaluating change requests, and ensuring adherence to project milestones and timelines.

Requirements

• Coding in an object-oriented programming language (C++ and Python).
• Working with scripting language such as Bash, Batch, and PowerShell.
• Writing and optimizing SQL for relational and analytical databases.
• Azure cloud services.
• Creating automated jobs and Dashboards on Databricks Platform.
• Setting up centralized governance operations using Databricks REST API to monitor multiple Databricks’ workspaces.
• Designing and developing data processing jobs using Apache Spark (PySpark).
• Virtualization platforms and operating workloads on virtual machines.
• Building automated email alerts using SMTP.
• Git-based source control.
• Testing and troubleshooting using unit and integration tests and root-cause analysis.

• Creates/configures minimalistic code for entire component/application and ensures components meet business/technical requirements, non-functional requirements, low-maintainability, high-availability and high-scalability needs.
• Assists in the selection of appropriate languages, development standards and tools for software coding/configuration.
• Takes the initiative to learn the fundamentals of different coding languages and frameworks.
• Builds scripts for automation of repetitive and routine tasks in CI/CD, Testing or any other process.
• Implements telemetry features as required independently.
• Ensures security policy requirements are properly applied to components/application during code development/configuration.
• Maps customer requirements into test objectives.
• Identifies and creates test cases for the component/module.
• Executes test cases to test the code and detect errors and defects.
• Executes different types of testing using appropriate testing tools.
• Tracks and analyzes defects for the component/module and carries out regression testing.
• Analyzes defects from past projects/solutions to avoid recurrence.
• Troubleshoots performance and availability bottlenecks for the application.
• Conducts complex maintenance procedures for applications independently.
• Monitors and evaluates the performance of the application by tracking and analyzing appropriate metrics.
• Performs maintenance (corrective, adaptive, perfective) and re-engineering activities.
• Analyzes application logs, maintenance activity data, performance data and provides analysis.
• Evaluates change requests to identify those which are valid and feasible.
• Ensures adherence to the project against approved milestones and timelines.
