About The Position

CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for an entry-level Software Engineer I to support and enhance enterprise Environmental Health and Safety applications while contributing to the development of new modern web applications. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career developers with experience in Adobe ColdFusion, Python, Django, and frontend technologies. The ideal candidate will work within an Agile team environment to design, develop, test, and support scalable software solutions across frontend and backend systems.

Requirements

  • 0–3 years of software development experience
  • Recent graduates with relevant coursework are encouraged to apply
  • Experience with Adobe ColdFusion
  • Experience with Python and Django
  • Experience with Vue.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS, and Bootstrap
  • Understanding of software development principles, algorithms, and data structures
  • Familiarity with Git and GitLab workflows
  • Exposure to CI/CD concepts and automated testing
  • Understanding of MVC/MVVM application architecture

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Oracle databases and SQL optimization
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and OpenAPI/Swagger documentation
  • Knowledge of reusable component-based development and API-first design
  • Exposure to Environmental Health and Safety applications or Chemical Safety concepts

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance existing Adobe ColdFusion applications
  • Develop new applications and services using Python/Django and Vue.js
  • Build responsive user interfaces using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and Bootstrap
  • Collaborate with developers, UX teams, and business stakeholders to deliver technical solutions
  • Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning and daily stand-ups
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
  • Support CI/CD processes and Git-based development workflows
  • Perform debugging, troubleshooting, testing, and performance optimization
  • Support application deployment and operational activities
