Requirements

Completed within the past 3 years or expected to be completed within the next 12 months: A Bachelor's degree with 0 years of work experience; or An educational or workforce development program (e.g., Associate’s, Apprenticeship, Boot camp, or Certification) with 1 year of work experience; or High school diploma (or equivalent) with 2 years of work experience.
Qualifying education and work experience should be in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
Foundational understanding and practical coding proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, C/C++, or JavaScript / TypeScript, with solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
Understanding of full stack software engineering fundamentals, including RESTful APIs, web development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/React), and relational or NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with standard software development workflows in Linux environments and Git version control.

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated experience or coursework in building modern, responsive user interfaces and single-page applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with a solid grasp of core UI/UX principles.
Practical experience in designing and developing scalable distributed backend services, RESTful APIs, or microservices architectures using languages such as Go, Python, Java, or C/C++.
Hands-on exposure to containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, test automation, cloud security, and networking fundamentals (L2/L3, TCP/IP), combined with a proactive approach to using AI developer tools to enhance productivity and solve complex problems in Agile environments.
