You will help risk and compliance teams turn complex data into actionable, automated workflows, with an emphasis on intuitive, resilient architecture. Working in an Agile squad with Product Managers, Designers, QA, and back-end engineers, you will co-design API contracts, ship modular Angular components, and trace features end-to-end to support production reliability. The role involves understanding the full request lifecycle, from browser interactions through the service layer, and translating complex business challenges into seamless enterprise user experiences. The position is hybrid and based near LogicGate’s Chicago headquarters, with regular on-site collaboration. The anticipated base salary range is $105,000–$130,000 per year, plus variable compensation, equity, and benefits. LogicGate describes its culture as execution-oriented, collaborative, inclusive, and committed to excellence.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience building and maintaining modern, scalable web applications in a production B2B SaaS or enterprise environment.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Angular, or modern component-based frameworks such as React or Vue, with the ability to ramp up rapidly in an enterprise Angular codebase.
  • Practical experience consuming RESTful APIs, mocking endpoints, and managing complex front-end application state aligned with relational backend data structures.
  • Daily commitment to automated testing across unit and end-to-end layers, including tools such as Cypress and Jasmine.
  • Foundational understanding of client-side web security, including OWASP Top 10, role-based access control, and input sanitization.
  • Practical experience using modern AI tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, or ChatGPT, with sound judgment about hallucination risks and data privacy.
  • Located within commuting distance of LogicGate’s Chicago headquarters and willing and able to work on-site for regular squad collaboration, sprint ceremonies, and team gatherings.

Nice To Haves

  • Working familiarity with JVM backend languages such as Java or Kotlin and Spring Boot, or practical experience querying relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
  • Experience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms, configurable workflow engines, or data-dense low-code builders where strict data governance matters.
  • Hands-on experience optimizing browser runtime performance and implementing WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards across complex interfaces.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and ship scalable features using TypeScript and Angular on the front end, interfacing with Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot on the back end.
  • Build and evolve REST APIs with consuming front-end interfaces in mind, maintaining stable, versioned, clearly documented contracts for cross-squad integration.
  • Investigate customer-reported issues with Support and QA, translate findings into fixes, and improve monitoring for released features.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and engineers during Agile sprints, primarily from the Chicago headquarters.
  • Estimate effort, deliver on sprint commitments, and proactively communicate blockers and updates in Jira and shared team channels.
  • Guide merge requests through code review and maintain standards for linting, test coverage, and documentation.
  • Trace issues from browser component trees through API and data layers, using tools such as Datadog to investigate and resolve routine problems before escalating.
  • Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using JUnit, Jasmine, and Cypress.
  • Use AI coding assistants securely to accelerate scaffolding, testing, and debugging, while verifying outputs and protecting proprietary data.

Benefits

  • Variable compensation plans and equity options.
  • Comprehensive health, wellness, and lifestyle benefits tailored to the employee’s region.
  • Generous paid time off and annual company holidays.
  • Structured mentorship, leadership training, and premium learning platforms for career advancement.
