About The Position
Mercor is building a self-optimizing automation platform to help project leads run and scale data production businesses. The platform is intended to enable one person to operate a business generating tens to hundreds of millions in revenue. The Software Engineer will own major parts of this platform, including agents that source, vet, and staff experts; pay and incentive models for hiring and retaining experts; experiments and workflows that keep large projects running smoothly; and agents responsible for monitoring and driving revenue goals. The role is based in Mercor’s San Francisco, New York City, or London offices, with in-person work five days a week. Mercor describes itself as a profitable Series C company valued at $10 billion and a leading AI data company whose mission is to organize human intelligence to power the AI economy.

Responsibilities
- Build and own agents that source, vet, and staff experts with minimal human input.
- Develop pay and incentive models to hire and retain the best experts.
- Create experiments and workflows that keep large projects running smoothly.
- Build agents accountable for monitoring and driving real revenue goals.
