About The Position

This role involves developing software for embedded devices and systems, from initial requirements through production and ongoing support. The Software Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional team members to define operational performance requirements, integrate software and hardware components, and contribute to overall system design. The position requires active participation in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and formal testing. Additionally, the engineer will contribute to software test plans, procedures, and other technical documentation, participate in peer reviews, and manage defect identification and resolution. Collaboration with a cross-functional engineering team, including systems, test, and program leadership, is essential. The role utilizes various software languages and tools across Windows, Linux, and embedded real-time operating systems. A key responsibility includes supporting software bids and proposal inputs in response to customer requests and government requests for proposals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2+ years of prior related experience.
• Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2+ years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6+ years of prior related experience.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, and embedded real-time operating systems.
• Experience supporting software bids and proposals.
• Embedded Software Development.
