Anduril’s Air & Missile Defense Radar team develops tracking algorithms and software systems to detect, track, and characterize airborne threats in real time. Software engineers work in small, focused teams to develop tracking solutions, from multi-target tracking algorithms to high-performance distributed systems that process large volumes of sensor data. The team deploys production-grade systems for government and industry customers’ mission-critical operations. The role designs and implements tracking algorithms and real-time software, uses modeling and simulation to evaluate performance, and works with radar engineers and system architects to integrate solutions into defense systems. It also involves optimizing performance-critical software, communicating technical concepts and trade-offs, and participating in customer demonstrations and field tests. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience, at least two years of relevant experience, proficiency in C++ and Python, a strong mathematical foundation, software engineering fundamentals, and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance. The U.S. salary range is $111,000–$147,000, base salary only. Anduril states that highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers and that it offers a benefits package for full-time employees; specific benefits are not listed in this posting.
