About The Position

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Software Engineer – Application Performance Monitoring (Splunk & AppDynamics). This is a Full Time – Contract position with a duration of 12 Months, located in Irving, TX. In this role, you will consult on and participate in moderately complex Software Engineering initiatives and deliverables, contributing to the large-scale planning and execution of Software Engineering deliverables. You will monitor and analyze application performance, availability, stability, and operational health using Splunk and AppDynamics, investigate application and system performance issues, and perform detailed root-cause analysis. You will review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges involving multiple technical and operational factors, and contribute to the resolution of production and application performance issues. Additionally, you will develop and maintain dashboards, alerts, reports, and monitoring solutions using APM and observability platforms, and analyze application and operational data to identify performance trends, anomalies, and potential risks. Collaboration with Software Engineering, application support, infrastructure, and other technology teams is key to resolving issues and meeting deliverables. You will communicate technical findings, issues, risks, and recommendations effectively to engineering teams and leadership, and participate in incident, problem, and change-management processes as required. Leveraging knowledge of engineering policies, procedures, standards, and compliance requirements is expected. You will also identify opportunities to improve monitoring, automation, operational efficiency, and application reliability, and work effectively with client personnel and geographically dispersed teams. Managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and working under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment is also a part of this role.

Requirements

Experience in ServiceNow (SNOW), Automation, Power BI and Tableau and Python / scripting
Experience with automation principles and tools such as Ansible, Selenium, or similar technologies.
Exposure to AI technologies and AI-driven automation/observability.
Experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Word.
Experience with Business Intelligence tools, particularly Tableau and Power BI.
Experience with mainframe technologies.
Knowledge of monitoring and observability platforms beyond Splunk and AppDynamics.

Responsibilities
