About The Position

Aptiv is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Software Development Intern to join its engineering team. The internship provides hands-on software development experience, with the opportunity to work alongside experienced developers on real-world projects. The ideal candidate is passionate about coding, eager to learn, and interested in applying academic knowledge in a professional environment.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Basic knowledge of at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C, or C; C is preferred.
• Understanding of fundamental programming concepts and data structures.
• Familiarity with version control systems; Git is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and concepts.
• Experience with firmware development using microcontrollers (C, C++).
• Familiarity with microcontrollers and programming for embedded systems.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
• Previous project experience, whether academic, personal, or professional.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, testing, and debugging software applications.
• Collaborate with team members on coding projects and feature implementation.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions.
• Help maintain and improve existing codebases.
• Document code and development processes.
• Support quality assurance testing.
• Attend team meetings and contribute ideas.
