About The Position

Vervint is hiring Software Development Interns for summer 2027. Interns will work with consultants to develop solutions for clients while gaining practical work experience. The role is hybrid and requires working on-site at the Grand Rapids, Michigan office three days per week. Full-time hours are expected during the summer, with possible part-time work during the school year.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience or exposure to some of the following: .NET, C#, SQL, web front-end technologies (Angular, React, or Vue), Java, PHP, Ruby on Rails, Python, JavaScript (Node.js), Azure, AWS, or mobile development technologies (iOS or Android).
• Knowledge of object-oriented design and agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical abilities related to system design.
• Availability for full-time hours during the summer; part-time work during the school year may be possible.

Responsibilities

• Help deliver highly scalable, multi-tiered distributed software applications.
• Work within frameworks and architectures based on internal and external standards.
• Focus on quality and security through automation, design reviews, and unit testing.
• Analyze and fine-tune page performance and reliability.
• Work on multiple initiatives and recommend improvements.
• Develop and support projects throughout all phases of the development life cycle.
• Analyze technical issues and communicate recommendations and solutions clearly.
• Use agile development methodologies.
