About The Position

Ensure the safety and security of our nation as a Software Developer at GDIT. You’ll apply the latest technology and provide operational support to deliver actionable intelligence for the Intelligence Community. Our work depends on a Software Developer joining our team to support the development of systems and capabilities centered on our comprehensive motion imagery software suite. The Software Developer will focus on ensuring the mission is met while upgrading to cutting-edge technologies in full motion video (FMV) of the programs technical vision.

Requirements

Top Secret SCI + Polygraph Clearance
5 + years of related experience
Application Development
Java (Programming Language)
Structured Query Language (SQL)
A Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering, a related specialized area or field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent
9 years job-related experience
Proven problem-solving skills in complex environments
Skilled at applying and executing highly advanced technologies, principles, theories and concepts
Willing to learn in one discipline/field and developing working knowledge in adjacent disciplines/fields
Proficient understanding and application of engineering principles, concepts, practices, and standards
Demonstrated ability to communicate issues, impacts, and corrective actions
Demonstrated ability to easily and effectively communicate project topics to a diverse audience
Demonstrated ability to clearly report relevant information
Demonstrated ability to anticipate technology, process, and skill needs
US Citizenship Required

Responsibilities

Apply the latest technology and provide operational support to deliver actionable intelligence for the Intelligence Community.
Support the development of systems and capabilities centered on our comprehensive motion imagery software suite.
Focus on ensuring the mission is met while upgrading to cutting-edge technologies in full motion video (FMV) of the programs technical vision.
Use Java (AOP, IOC), Javascript, React/Redux, AngularJS, SQL, NoSQL, Graph, C++.
Experienced in Microservice API development and integration (gRPC/REST).
Deploy micro and macro services in NodeJS or JBoss.
Manage communication endpoints in gRPC or REST.
Manage REST based service level integration, API negotiation, Threading and Load Balancing.
Heavily use ETL concepts and engines to decouple solutions.
Create and maintain orchestration templates, modifying templates provided from unclassified teams into classified space.
Perform GraphDB, SQL and NoSQL data modeling / visualization / querying.
Work with MS SQL Server, OmniSci, Accumulo/Hadoop.
Perform reactive application development in a web browser – Write and manage large applications in React/Redux, rxJS, Reactive Streams.
Manage and bug triage legacy applications in AngularJS.
Debug and troubleshoot applications in customer space.
Leverage messaging engines and HA clusters Kafka streams/ ksqlDB.
Use and manage containers and orchestration such as: Docker/Kubernetes.
Create containers, deploy containers, manage container orchestration.
Manage scalability of deployed software products.
Use JIRA to manage daily, sprint, and increment metrics, performance, and backlogs.
Develop within an Agile framework; Sprints, Demonstrations, Scrum.
Communicate issues, impacts, and corrective actions.
Easily and effectively communicate project topics to a diverse audience.
Clearly report relevant information.
Anticipate technology, process, and skill needs.
