About The Position

GO Systems, within Product and Regulatory Operations (PRO), develops and executes a unified, interoperable infrastructure strategy across Global Operations. The team advances production workflow maturity by identifying tooling strategies for complex operational business problems and partnering with engineering teams to implement them at scale. The Software Developer will lead architectural decisions for GO Systems’ support platform and internal tooling ecosystem. The role focuses on removing engineering bottlenecks, accelerating operational workflows, and enabling Global Operations to scale across a diverse, multinational environment. The developer will build full-stack solutions, shape technical strategy and roadmaps, work with cross-functional stakeholders, and promote engineering and operational excellence.

Requirements

Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience; the degree must be completed before joining Meta.
At least 3 years of experience building and shipping full-stack projects across frontend, backend, and data layers.
At least 3 years of experience driving end-to-end execution of complex, multi-team technical projects while contributing to technical strategy and roadmaps.
Experience architecting and scaling internal tooling platforms or operational support systems in a large, multinational environment.
Experience communicating technical decisions and influencing cross-functional partners in large organizations through written proposals and design documentation.
Experience working across global, multicultural teams to design and improve business operations and tooling.

Experience implementing responsible, ethical AI practices, such as risk assessment, bias mitigation, and quality and accuracy reviews.
Experience with workforce management tooling, bug management systems, or customer support platform development.
Ongoing AI skill development, such as prompt/context engineering or agent orchestration, and staying current with emerging AI technologies.
Experience with process change management or large-scale process improvement initiatives in a global operations or trust and safety context.
Ability to integrate AI tools to optimize or redesign workflows and drive measurable impact, such as efficiency gains or quality improvements.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of scalable full-stack solutions using PHP/Hack and JavaScript/React to power operational workflows across the family of apps.
Define and contribute to the long-term technical architecture and roadmap for GO Systems tooling, aligning infrastructure strategy with Global Operations business priorities.
Identify and resolve systemic engineering bottlenecks across the GO tooling ecosystem, improving platform reliability and operational efficiency.
Partner with engineering, product management, legal, partnerships, and business development stakeholders to translate complex operational requirements into technical solutions.
Promote engineering best practices for design reviews, code quality, and incident management across GO Systems.
Drive adoption of AI and automation technologies within Global Operations to improve workflow efficiency and support experience quality.
Lead cross-functional technical alignment across organizational boundaries and influence partner engineering teams’ roadmaps and priorities.
Gather, analyze, and apply operational data to identify systemic gaps and design tooling that improves the end-to-end support experience.
Develop business cases and technical proposals supporting new or improved processes for consumers, businesses, and partners using Meta products.
Mentor engineers across the team, elevating technical craft and promoting operational excellence and continuous improvement.
