About The Position

Nakupuna Consulting is seeking a PeopleSoft developer with military personnel and pay experience to join the software development team supporting the Integrated Personnel and Pay System – Army (IPPS-A) Army Military Payroll (AMP) contract. This Software Developer III will contribute to a large, multi-year contract as an agile development team member, designing technical solutions and extending PeopleSoft application functionality to meet team objectives. The role involves collaborating with team members to remove blockers and resolve problems, and sharing information within and across teams. The position is based in Arlington, Virginia, with two days on-site and a hybrid option. Occasional travel may be required. A current Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required. The projected annual compensation range is $110,000 to $160,000.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience working in a computer software-related field.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft PeopleTools and SQL.
Experience with military pay.
Strong communication skills.
Current Secret clearance.
U.S. citizenship.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science degree in a Computer Software or Engineering major.
Two or more years of experience within the federal government, DoD, Army, or IC.
Certifications in PeopleSoft PeopleTools.
SAFe for Teams certification.

Responsibilities

Follow technical design specifications.
Extend PeopleSoft software functionality using PeopleTools technology to meet design specifications.
Configure PeopleSoft modules to meet design specifications.
Provide estimates for work assignments.
Document software configurations using prescribed documentation tools.
Conduct unit testing in accordance with defined quality engineering processes.
Perform software development activities supporting application enhancements and system defects.
Conduct peer reviews of teammates’ configurations and code to ensure accuracy and alignment with architecture and design.
Explain technical approaches and code to team members.
Demonstrate software functionality to end users.
