About The Position

As a Software Developer on the SAS EVAAS (Education Visualization and Analytics System) team, you’ll create front-end experiences that help educators turn complex data into clear, actionable insights that can make a real difference for students. As a Software Developer, you will utilize your React, JavaScript, and TypeScript skills to build highly reliable, tested, and user-friendly front-end experiences. You will design and deliver scalable, maintainable front-end components and workflows that support the EVAAS web application. Use your front-end development knowledge and UX mindset to help shape the future design of our web application.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related quantitative field with 2-5 years of professional full-time experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience with: Developing front-end applications using React and JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • At least 2 years of experience with: Developing and delivering responsive, accessible Web-based applications
  • Experience using modern front-end build tools and package management, including NPM
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with UX design principles and collaborating on user-centered interface design
  • Experience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma
  • Experience with various static or interactive code scanning tools
  • Experience documenting decisions, processes, and code
  • Experience integrating front-end applications with back-end services
  • Experience with Git and GitHub
