About The Position

Design, develop, troubleshoot and/or test/QA software. As a member of the software engineering division, apply knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and/or suggest improvements to the architecture. May telecommute.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field followed by 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a Software Developer-related occupation.
  • 6 years of experience designing, developing, and operating large scale distributed production systems (1000+ server instances), including high availability and scalability considerations.
  • Programming experience in one or more languages such as Java, Python, C/C++, or Go, with object-oriented design and development.
  • Deliver products and with the full software development lifecycle in Linux systems.
  • Distributed systems architecture, including fault tolerance, data consistency, state management, and asynchronous processing.
  • Design and development of cloud-based services using public cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, GCP, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Database technologies including relational databases (SQL) and NoSQL or distributed data stores, and caching technologies Redis or Memcache.
  • Design and development of multi-tenant, highly available cloud-native applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and microservice architecture.
  • Implementation of secure software systems, including authentication, authorization, identity management using industry standards and technologies such as OAuth, SAML, JWT, and role-based access control (RBAC).
  • Scalable data processing systems, including real-time or near real-time data pipelines using Kafka, Kinesis or other cloud-based data service.
  • Monitoring, logging, and observability for large scale production systems using tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.

  • Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
