About The Position

This is a software development and technical support role supporting Mortgage Capital Markets (MCM), focused on integrating upstream and downstream BNS systems. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn about MCM and commercial real estate finance. The role involves supporting production issues, developing software and backend systems, assisting with deployments, building user interfaces, working with messaging and monitoring, and gathering requirements with business teams. The developer will work closely with the IT Senior Manager and other developers. The position is hybrid, with onsite work 2–3 days per week in Dallas. The contract duration is six months, with the possibility of extension.

Requirements

10+ years of experience designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining large-scale applications with complex integrations.
Experience with modern programming languages such as Java and/or Python, and developing and consuming web services and APIs.
4+ years of experience with data technologies and databases, including one or more of PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Apache NiFi, Apache Kafka, or Elasticsearch.
Ability to work comfortably with large datasets, including experience writing, reading, and executing SQL scripts.
2+ years of experience with front-end technologies including Angular, React, and JavaScript.
3+ years of experience with CI/CD and build automation tools such as Maven, Gradle, and Jenkins.
3+ years of experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure or GCP, and Kubernetes.
3+ years of experience with test automation, including SRE monitoring and synthetic monitoring.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong communication skills.
Strong team player.
Strong back-end development experience and ability to work independently.
Strong production support experience.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working in mortgage capital markets.
Experience using job scheduling and orchestration tools such as CRON, Tidal, or Airflow.
Experience using application and infrastructure monitoring tools such as Dynatrace for performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident analysis.
Experience working in an Agile environment, with a solid understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD).
