About The Position

As a member of Oracle America, Inc.’s software engineering division, the Software Developer 4 designs, develops, troubleshoots, and/or tests software. The role applies knowledge of software architecture to develop, debug, or design software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. It builds enhancements within an existing software architecture and may suggest improvements to that architecture. The position may be performed remotely by telecommuting.

The employer requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, followed by eight years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the offered job or a software developer-related occupation. The position requires experience with cloud platforms and cloud-native, container-based applications; automating build, test, and deployment processes; software security; Python, Perl, and Java; CI/CD design and development; the SDLC for cloud services; and cloud infrastructure design.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Eight years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a software developer-related occupation.
• Experience with cloud platforms and cloud-native, Docker-based applications.
• Experience automating build, test, and deployment processes for applications managed on Linux OS, using Unix command line and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of security aspects of software products and services.
• Experience with Python, Perl, and Java.
• Experience in CI/CD design and development.
• Knowledge of the SDLC process for cloud services.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure design.
